The browser performs badly, it's very slow or freezes

In this article, we wanted to describe the steps that can improve the browser performance, make it faster, and identify the source that causes freezes, etc.

  1. Try to disable all the extensions (temporarily, to explore if they affect the browser performance). After that, restart the browser and check if it behaves better. Then you can enable extensions one by one to find the source of the issue;

  2. Enable tab suspender. It helps free memory:
    ​

    You can choose which domains don't need to be suspended;

  3. Disabling 'Use hardware acceleration when available' here sidekick://settings/system sometimes improves the browser performance;

  4. Clear the cache: sidekick://settings/clearBrowserData
